Transaction Scheduling for Web Services Computing Applications
نویسنده
چکیده
Web services technology provides a new computing model, which greatly accelerates application processes and responds to changing business needs within and across enterprises. Increasingly, web services transactions are key additions to business processes that access multiple web services and need to string them together. However, many of the previous approaches for scheduling transactions considered a single class of transactions with real-time constraints, whereas in practice not all transactions in web services computing applications have real-time requirements. This work studies the problem of scheduling web services transactions to deal with both real-time and non-realtime constraints existing simultaneously. We present an efficient transaction scheduling policy named the dynamic allocation policy for web services computing (DAP-WS), which aims at minimizing the number of missed real-time web services transactions and maximizing the throughput of non-real-time web services transactions. The presented simulation results demonstrate that the DAP-WS delivers good performance in the web services computing environment.

Scalable Transactions for Web Applications in the Cloud
Cloud computing platforms provide scalability and high availability properties for web applications but they sacrifice data consistency at the same time. However, many applications cannot afford any data inconsistency. We present a scalable transaction manager for cloud database services to execute ACID transactions of web applications, even in the presence of server failures. We demonstrate th...

Cloud computing is a model for convenient on-demand user’s access to changeable and configurable computing resources such as networks, servers, storage, applications, and services with minimal management of resources and service provider interaction. Task scheduling is regarded as a fundamental issue in cloud computing which aims at distributing the load on the different resources of a distribu...
متن کاملTransaction Synchronization for XML Data in Client-Server Web Applications
Whenever database centered client-server web applications have to be used by multiple web clients on different platforms, then recently XML has been considered as an important data exchange format. If multiple web clients modify their XML copy of some server side database data, then writing this modifications back to the server side database requires transaction synchronization. We present a tr...
متن کاملData Replication-Based Scheduling in Cloud Computing Environment
Abstract— High-performance computing and vast storage are two key factors required for executing data-intensive applications. In comparison with traditional distributed systems like data grid, cloud computing provides these factors in a more affordable, scalable and elastic platform. Furthermore, accessing data files is critical for performing such applications. Sometimes accessing data becomes...

Since software systems play an important role in applications more than ever, the security has become one of the most important indicators of softwares.Cloud computing refers to services that run in a distributed network and are accessible through common internet protocols. Presenting a proper scheduling method can lead to efficiency of resources by decreasing response time and costs. This rese...
